FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
The That’s A Wrap Robe will look magnificent in many fabrications! Due to the nature of the pattern, stiffer materials will result in a much boxier fit. Fabrics with a nice drape will fall closer to the body while wearing. The top section of the neckline trim is cut on the bias which provides ample opportunity to play with the direction of a printed fabric or color blocking. The pattern was designed for light-to-mid weight woven fabrics like cottons, linens, & silks, but could lend itself to knits by sizing down. If you wish to make the robe out of a heavier weight material, you may want to opt out of using French seams to reduce bulk. Otherwise, the world is your oyster!
FIT RECOMMENDATIONS
The That’s A Wrap Robe is constructed using primarily rectangles which means there is very little shaping involved in the actual pattern pieces. The pattern is designed with plenty of ease, a lot of overlap when tying the robe closed, and roomy sleeves. Drafted to hit at the mid-to-upper thigh, you can shorten or lengthen at the hem of the pattern pieces for your desired length. Try to keep the belt loop placement at your natural waist for the most comfortable and flattering fit. The long armhole and wide sleeves result in easy mobility while wearing the robe closed.
SIZE GUIDE
Find the size that corresponds closest to your personal measurements in the size chart below. Patterns are designed for a 5’8” (172cm) tall person. The following measurements are needed to determine your size:
FULL BUST | The fullest part of your chest, often times across the apex
WAIST | The smallest part of your torso, directly underneath your rib cage and above your hip bones
LOW HIP | The widest part of your hips, patterns drafted for 8” below the waistline
